IIM Tiruchirappalli Academic Associate Eligibility Criteria 2026

• Academic Associate – Economics & Public Policy: PhD with or without experience; Graduates or Post Graduates in Economics or Allied fields; B. Tech./B.E with adequate experience. Experience in Teaching or comparative Research experience is desirable but not mandatory.
• Academic Associate – Finance and Accounting: PhD with or without experience; M.B.A or equivalent with a first class with specialization in finance and accounting; M.Com with first class with specialization in computer applications. Candidates with a PhD or registered for a PhD in relevant disciplines of finance or accounting will be preferred.
• Academic Associate – General Management: PhD with or without experience; M.B.A or equivalent with a first class. Candidates with a background in Law, an interest in law, or an interest in the legal aspects of business are an added qualification.
• Academic Associate – Information Systems and Analytics: PhD (with expertise in Information Systems, Analytics) with or without experience; Post-graduates (MBA with specialization in Information Technology and Systems, Analytics / post-graduates in Information Technology or related fields); B. Tech./B.E (in computer science or related fields)/MCA with adequate experience. One-year post qualification experience either in academics or industry is required. Experience of work in an institute of higher education/research is desirable.
• Academic Associate – Strategy & Entrepreneurship: PhD with or without experience; An MBA or Master’s Degree in Economics, Psychology, Sociology or a related degree; Good Academic Record. Candidates with a Background in Law or an interest towards law or an interest in legal aspects of business are an added qualification.
• Academic Associate – Marketing: PhD with or without experience; First-class post-graduates (MBA with specialization in the relevant field / post-graduates in the relevant field). One-year post-qualification experience either in academics or industry is required.
• Academic Associate – Operations Management & Decision Sciences: PhD with or without experience; B.E. (any branch) from a recognized institution of repute; B.Sc (or) M.Sc in Mathematics (or) Statistics; M.B.A. with specialization has taken a significant number of elective courses on Operations Management / Decision Sciences / Analytics. Although 1 to 3 years of work experience in a similar role is desirable, fresh graduates with energy and enthusiasm are encouraged to apply. Prior experience in teaching/educational institutions is preferred but not essential.
